Thomas Anthony is the author of the Odra series, The New Kid Code, and a growing shelf of practical guides for difficult caretaking passages. The Odra novels are literary speculative fiction about consciousness, memory, institutional power, and what a society owes a mind it created. The New Kid Code is contemporary middle grade following Maya Reyes, an Air Force kid who has built a private system of rules for surviving the first weeks at a new school. The practical guides turn the hardest caretaking passages — a parent who needs you, the house that comes after, an animal who is slowing down — into a workable order of operations. He grew up in a military family and publishes under Crowe's Nest Productions.
